The second edition of the European Solar Challenge was again a great success!

The solar teams were enthusiastic about the organization as well about the locations in Genk. For the collaboration and the use of the locations many thanks to the City Genk, without them it would not be possible to organize such a wonderful event.

The teams liked it to do each stage on a different location,
1)Cosmodrome; start + sprint,
2)Thor-park; 1.2km sprint, and 4×500 meter at an average speed of 40km,
3)C-Mine; slalom,
4)Stadsplein; 8-proof.
Between all the locations they were escorted by the Police of Genk, which also did a well job!

The Solar Energy Racers(CH) have won the FUTECH Solar Cup with 483 points, Solar Team Twente(NL) was second with 477 points, and the third place with 469 points was for Solar Team Bochum (D) Last but not least, thanks to PAK Limburg for their job which they have done excellent! It’s a really professional organization for the performing of the measurements and timing, as well to set-up the different stages.
