Today, we are only five days away from the official start of the World Solar Challenge in Australia. Not less than 46 participants will fight for the final victory on 25 October. This year, three distinct classes are introduced: the Challenger class (30 participants), the Cruiser class (12 participants) and the Adventure class (4 participants). In the Challenger class, the Nuon Solar Team from Holland will try to extend its title from previous edition in 2013. Their Dutch colleagues from Solar Team Eindhoven defend their title in the Cruiser class.
